    Punjab trader shot dead in Srinagar, another injured

    An unidentified gunmen shot dead a non-local trader and critically injured another in Srinagar's Shaheed Gunj area. Amritpal Singh, a resident of Amritsar, succumbed to his injuries, while Rohit, also from Punjab, is undergoing treatment. The attack occurred amidst assertions of improved security in J&K. Political leaders across parties condemned the violence, calling it barbaric and hindering peace efforts.

    Sikh man shot dead by terrorists in Srinagar city, another injured

    Terrorists fatally shot Amritpal Singh and injured Rohit, both from Amritsar, in the Habba Kadal area of Kashmir. Singh died on the spot, while Rohit sustained abdominal injuries and is undergoing treatment. This marks the first attack on a non-local in Kashmir this year. The police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Last year, terrorists targeted non-local workers in various Kashmir districts, highlighting ongoing security challenges.

    The Jammu and Kashmir administration fired four officials, alleging ties to terrorism. Among them were an Assistant Professor, Constable, Laboratory bearer, and Teacher. Over 50 dismissals in three years cite involvement in supporting terror outfits, financing terrorism, and promoting separatist agendas, invoking Article 311 (2)(c) of India's Constitution.

    FIR against BJP leader and Hajj Committee of India member Aijaz Hussain for assault in Kashmir

    The case was registered following the protests of victims and their family members at Press colony in Srinagar late Tuesday night. They accused Aijaz--also a district development council member from Srinagar--and his personal security personnel of 'assault and attempt to murder.'

    Nine civilians injured in grenade attack in Srinagar

    The attack took place outside the famous Mughal garden on the banks of the Dal Lake, they said. The officials said nine civilians were injured.
