    SPJIMR Placements 2023: Class average at Rs 33.02 Lakh

    Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's SPJIMR has completed final placements for its PGDM Class of 2023 with an average annual salary (cost-to-company) of Rs 33.02 lakh per annum, compared to Rs 32.05 lakh last year. Top salary of Rs 77.8 lakh per annum marked a 46% increase compared to last year.

    Manufacturing firms make a beeline for graduates this placement season

    Campus hiring this year by companies like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, RPG Group and Dabur will be more than last year, according to their executives. Among other profiles, these companies are also looking at strengthening digital and tech talent pipelines, said their HR heads. In fiscal 2021-22, carmaker Maruti Suzuki hired about 600 graduates and postgraduates from campuses.

    Highest packages across these campuses also saw an upswing. At MDI Gurgaon, the top offer this time was around Rs 80 lakh, a nearly 82% jump over last year’s Rs 44 lakh. In IIM Kozhikode, it went up by over 28% to Rs 61.5 lakh (international), up from last year’s Rs 48 lakh.

    Consulting emerged as the top recruiting sector with offers rolled out to 38% of the batch of 238 participants. Participating companies included Accenture Strategy, Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, GEP, KPMG, Miebach and PwC US Advisory among others.
