    THE IDEA OF YOU ENDING

Govt should continue their medium-term focus on infrastructure, public capex: Surendra Goyal

But overall, we think that they are in a fairly comfortable position and the medium-term focus on infrastructure, public capex, etc, that should continue.

For moderate risk takers looking for medium term opportunities: 4 midcap stocks from different sectors with upside potential of up to 35%

One of the common things which can be heard these days is “ Nifty and sensex has moved so high, how far it will move”. Now there is no counter to such statements because of the fact that corrections can come any time. But there is another fact that this statement was equally applicable when Nifty was at 20,000 and sensex was at 70,000. Now this will be applicable when nifty crosses 26,000 and sensex moves above 90,000. So, if your investing decisions are going to be based on what is happening to nifty and sensex then probably one would miss out on the India growth story. The better way to do this is to look at individual stocks, put more stringent filters while selecting the stocks and then ignore what is happening to nifty because at the end of the day, nifty is just an index and not the market.

Breakout above Rs 25 can spark crazy rally in Vodafone Idea shares: Rupak De

Bank Nifty ended with a marginal gain at the end of a volatile week. The volatility was led by movements in HDFC Bank, which has a dinosaur weightage in the Bank Nifty. 5 investing lessons from India’s T20 World Cup triumph

India's triumph against the odds in the final serves as a powerful lesson in trusting the process even when faced with adversity. Despite a mere 3% chance of victory, the team's unwavering faith in their strategies proved crucial. Similarly, in investing, initial expectations can often be misleading. Investors may be tempted to abandon investments due to short-term market fluctuations, potentially missing out on significant long-term gains.

Another sector which is going through a transformation: 6 energy stocks which can give more than 18 % return in one year.

In the last one month, there has been more sectoral rotation than probably one would have seen in the last one year. The reason is, some of the sectors which have been going through structural changes and a number of them are close to a point where either companies should produce results or they would disappoint. Take the case of auto, and a year back they were close to the same inflection point. One year later as they launch their EV’s they are being re-rating. In the case of energy companies, because the transformation is different and is much more basic in nature which requires more capex, it is going to take time. Hence expectation of the similar reaction on the street should not be expected, but there is another side to it, it would be a more sustainable change on a much bigger balance sheet and long runway of growth.

Metal & Mining stocks: Same yet different, time to shed bias & watch for global signs. 5 stocks, 2 with an upside potential of up to 27%

In the last three months of volatility which nifty, sensex and broader market have witnessed there are some sectors which have shown a streak of out performance. They haven't fallen as much as nifty when the index was going down and pretty much moved in tandem with the index when it moved upward. Amongst many sectors metal has been one of them. There has to be a reason for this relative performance. In the case of metals stocks, there are some minor indications of improvement in the Chinese economy which have been keeping the metal prices stable. Question arises that if metal stocks have been stable, shouldn't be mining stocks, which also pretty much follow the same path of outperformance and be on watchlist because at the end of the day mining is a critical part of the whole supply chain.

    • Getting ready to end the 3-year exile: 5 stocks from diagnostics sector with upside potential of up to 53%

There are some businesses, where only a black swan event leads to sharp growth in profit. Otherwise the underlying nature is such that they don't have any sudden spike in their profits. But there is constant growth. The constant growth could be because of many reasons. It may be because of the fact that penetration of that good or service is very low and over a period of time as it improves, both top and bottom line keep moving upward. It could be because of the movement of business from the unorganized sector to the organized sector. Or due the fact that the “need” of that good or service is such that spending on it cannot be postponed. In the case of diagnostic business, it is all the three, or rather four. The fact is that in 2020, a black swan took place which led to the sudden spike in FY 2021 numbers, but then back to normal growth curve. Now for three years, there has been a painful process of partial normalization of valuation and end of price wars. Has the time come for extreme long term investors to bring them back on watchlist ?

First Budget of Modi 3.0: 8 stocks which may come into limelight during the Budget speech

Till the budget comes, many would have field day, right from opinion, desire, assessment all being packed as inside news. So, at the outset, we must clarify that this is our assessment based on an assumption that there are certain sectors which will be getting more attention in the first budget of Modi 3.0. The assumption is based on two reasons. First, the government has been focussing on these sectors for some time now and will give it further push so that end results start to get reflected on ground. Second, given the fact that it makes sense to do politically correct things when the whole world is looking at you. Why not make those announcements in the budget itself, because if not in budget these would have come in any case over the next few months. These are mid and small caps stocks which are related to the rural economy which is likely to be in focus for next couple of years as policy makers once again get ready for rural push.

Why self-medicating without consulting a dermatologist is a bad idea

Smallcaps: Narrative might go against them, but if chosen with right filters, don't bother, 5 stocks from different sectors with long term perspective

When investing in stock markets, it’s crucial to make the distinction between high-quality and poor-quality businesses across the small, mid, and large-cap spectrums, as well as the difference between the intrinsic value of a stock and the overall value of the company. Certain niche small businesses may still generate significant returns over time if they are held long enough. On the other hand, if one's approach to small-cap investments is merely based on the absolute value of a stock with hopes of a tenfold increase, then it's a misconception. Stock market investing, whether in small, mid, or large caps, should not be driven by unrealistic expectations; otherwise, it leads to nothing but undue stress, rather than substantial returns.
