    TIPS ABOUT BUYING FOREX

Another sector which is going through a transformation: 6 energy stocks which can give more than 18 % return in one year.

In the last one month, there has been more sectoral rotation than probably one would have seen in the last one year. The reason is, some of the sectors which have been going through structural changes and a number of them are close to a point where either companies should produce results or they would disappoint. Take the case of auto, and a year back they were close to the same inflection point. One year later as they launch their EV’s they are being re-rating. In the case of energy companies, because the transformation is different and is much more basic in nature which requires more capex, it is going to take time. Hence expectation of the similar reaction on the street should not be expected, but there is another side to it, it would be a more sustainable change on a much bigger balance sheet and long runway of growth.

Metal & Mining stocks: Same yet different, time to shed bias & watch for global signs. 5 stocks, 2 with an upside potential of up to 27%

In the last three months of volatility which nifty, sensex and broader market have witnessed there are some sectors which have shown a streak of out performance. They haven't fallen as much as nifty when the index was going down and pretty much moved in tandem with the index when it moved upward. Amongst many sectors metal has been one of them. There has to be a reason for this relative performance. In the case of metals stocks, there are some minor indications of improvement in the Chinese economy which have been keeping the metal prices stable. Question arises that if metal stocks have been stable, shouldn't be mining stocks, which also pretty much follow the same path of outperformance and be on watchlist because at the end of the day mining is a critical part of the whole supply chain.

Sometimes skepticism should not be first port of investing: 4 largecap PSU stocks from different sectors with upside potential of up to 29%

While a part of it is due to valuations, another part is due to doubts about whether the government will continue to focus on making the PSU a set of better run companies. If one looks at the announcements which have come in the last four weeks, there is a high probability of that happening.

These largecaps have ‘strong buy’ & ‘buy’ recos and upside potential of more than 25%

While the recent up move in large caps has made them cover some of the differential which has developed in the valuations between mid and large stocks. If one looks at the long term average, there is still a scope of mean reversion. It might happen in both ways, mid-cap witnessing some profit booking and large caps doing relatively well in the corrective phase of the markets. Misjudging market dynamics - why this can be detrimental for investors

In 2021, for instance, euphoria surrounded several newly listed companies. Many investors poured money into these companies based solely on hype, neglecting factors like profitability and growth prospects. This resulted in a correction in 2022, with several companies that previously completed successful IPOs witnessing significant value erosion.

    • Being bullish & being cautious are not antonyms: 4 largecap stocks from different sectors with upside potential of up to 41%

There are a number of times when one hears on the street, that indices and stocks have gone so high, how much higher it can go, so forget it. Essentially the underlying feeling is that just because the nifty and sensex has moved up now it will not move so let's not invest. That is probably the worst mistake one makes because at every level, this narrative comes. When nifty was 20,000 this argument could have been made, now at 24,000 also this argument can be made and when nifty is much higher, the same argument will be made. One needs to look at the broader picture, there is no reason why one should not be bullish about India, but that does mean one should not be cautious in terms of selecting the stocks. so , continue to be bullish, also be cautious and invest in a manner that short term profit booking moves don't make you anxious.

Nilesh Shah’s tip for investors: Stick to asset allocation dharma. Don’t chew more than you can afford

Nilesh Shah says that he always recommends that people follow their asset allocation dharma. If they are too much over-invested into equity, there is no harm in taking profit. If they are under-invested in equity, then there is no harm in investing even at this level, but with a longer-term horizon.

These largecaps have ‘strong buy’ & ‘buy’ recos and upside potential of more than 23%

Of the last seven trading sessions, in three trading sessions, nifty which opened with a gap or came under pressure after opening has been able to recover and ended the day in positive territory. It is a kind of rotational support coming in from different stocks and sectors. There are banks one day and then they take a back seat and industrials come to support. Is the distribution taking place or is it a kind of consolidation which is taking place and a strong directional move would emerge after the budget that needs to be seen. But in all the cases there is greater chances that it is large cap stocks which will remain in limelight. ET screener powered by Refinitiv’s Stock Report Plus lists down quality stocks with high upside potential over the next 12 months, having an average recommendation rating of “buy” or "strong buy". Political noise is temporary in the end it's about GDP growth; 6 logistics companies with upside potential of up to 39%

It will take some more time for the street to get out of the political noise and analysis and stocks may witness some more correction. But these are all short term issues, in the end markets are keen about two things, overall economic growth and earnings of the company. In the recent political noise what has been probably getting missed is the fact that GDP numbers were better than expected. It is very likely that we are going to see continued growth in the GDP numbers, yes, there would be voices which would say that focus consumption would increase and all other things, but in the end the biggest beneficiary of the continued higher growth is the logistics sector. The reason is simple, if the economy is doing well, more goods will be produced and they will have to be transported and that is why in large developed economies, logistic companies form part of a very important transportation index. Also another big factor, these companies have gone through a restructuring and have come out after facing many challenges.

When it comes to PSU banks, all the limelight is taken by the top players, like SBI, BoB, PNB and one or two others. But the fact is that there are many other small PSU banks, which of course have smaller books and less of national presence, but the fact is that they have been also the beneficiary of the “ reconstruction and restructuring" (R&R) which both government and RBI have done in the banking sector in the last seven years. The good part of any R&R exercise in banking is that all the players whether it is small or large have to follow the rules and that ensures that the operating matrix improves across the sector and which leads to long term beneficial impact. We take a look at 5 small PSU banks, which are not normally in news, but over years they have also seen an improvement in their working. Yes, they have their own risks in terms of loan book and other business risk, but then because they are under owned in institutional space, a bit of institutional buying can lead to sharp re-rating.
