"Everything is in place to begin its trial run in July 2024 so that its services can be made available to people as soon as possible," a representative was cited by news agency PTI as saying. These trains, operating on existing rails, will serve primarily as a vital link between major cities and their smaller cities.

Amber Enterprises plans to create a special purpose vehicle (SPV) with Titagarh to provide comprehensive solutions for rolling stock manufacturers, including air conditioners, doors, gangways, pantry systems, and other components. The total addressable market for the railway segment is expected to reach Rs 75,000-80,000 crore in the next five to six years. Amber Enterprises aims to target a bill of material solution of Rs 2-2.5 crore per coach. The company has also diversified into the electronics sector through acquisitions of Iljin and Ascent Circuits.
