An impressive 99.63% of 1,13,492 candidates passed this year's West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), officials announced. Among the successful candidates, 34,342 are girls and 26,462 are from outside the state. Kingshuk Patra from Bankura Zilla School topped the list, followed by Subhradeep Paul and Bibaswan Biswas. North 24 Parganas had the highest number of qualifiers (10,489), followed by Purba Medinipur (7,331). Kolkata had 6,338 qualifiers.
