    Who is the US soldier detained in Russia?

    U.S. Staff Sergeant Gordon Black was detained in Vladivostok, Russia, on suspicion of stealing from a woman he was in a relationship with. The woman, whom he had met in South Korea, reported money missing after an argument at her home. Black was detained at a hotel while attempting to fly home. He has been placed in pre-trial detention until July 2. Black's unauthorized travel to Russia from South Korea violates Army rules, and the Pentagon is investigating the circumstances of his travel. The case is not believed to have political implications.
