Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy met with senior BJP leaders to discuss seat-sharing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Kumaraswamy stated that the JDS and BJP have decided to form an alliance to defeat the Congress in Karnataka. He believes that the alliance will be more beneficial for the BJP, and they can replicate their success from the 2019 elections. Kumaraswamy also mentioned that an alliance is crucial for the BJP's performance in the state and that seat-sharing will be announced at the appropriate time.
