About us
OUR VISION - Every child has access to realise their full potential through quality education and holistic learning to become young empowered leaders in urban & rural segments, contributing towards a self-reliant India. OUR MISSION - To prepare less privileged children through holistic support and help them succeed in a rapidly changing environment. OUR CORE PROGRAMMES: SWATANTRA SHIKSHAANTRA is KHUSHII's Learning Centre in Sangam Vihar, Delhi, engaging with government school students. The programme aims at improving the age-appropriate learning curve through remedial education, nutritious mid-day meals, digital learning, awareness camps and regular counselling sessions. SHIKSHAANTRA PLUS for holistic learning at government schools with a focus on remedial/support education, psychological support, building capacity of teachers on new pedagogy skills, infrastructural support and improved parental engagement MANOSHAKTI Mental Health Programme promotes student's psychological, social, & physical development through personalised and group counselling sessions. The programme also engages with caregivers and government school teachers to mitigate the risk of dropouts while enhancing their mental well being and learning. A core part of our COVID response strategy, the ADAPT IMPACT program, supports vulnerable children by providing a safe digital learning environment and counselling to bridge the learning gaps and ensure that children's education continues. The integrated Community Development programme, SIKSHA AUR VIKAS, empowers economically backward communities to become socio-economically independent. The programme focuses on empowering women & youth through skill-building, livelihood creation, and microfinancing. KHUSHII is an independent, self-implementing, Not-for-Profit Organisation founded in 2003.

A teacher is not just a teacher – they are also a parent, a confidante and a guide. KHUSHII launched the Delhi chapter of its flagship programme 'Manobal'. It aims to conduct workshops to psycho-educate and sensitise 1000 government school teachers to create a conducive school environment. The inaugural session proved highly interactive. Teachers shared personal anecdotes, reflected on their own behaviors, and discussed their students' mental health. This engagement underscores a crucial point: only when teachers are aware of mental health issues can they create safe learning environments. Such spaces allow students to be driven by curiosity rather than fear, encouraging them to ask challenging questions and express their authentic selves. We are grateful to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi for partnering with KHUSHII. Special thanks to Ms. Manju Kharti (Deputy Director of Education headquarter MCD) and Ms. Anita Naudiyal ,Deputy Director of Education ,South Zone to inaugurate the training session and participate in the session.

KHUSHII's Shikshaantra Plus program is proud to support students in their pursuit of excellence! In the academic year 2023-24, we aided 37 students from Chandlodiya Primary School in preparing for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) exam. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our volunteer educators, 43% of these students (16 out of 37) have successfully passed the NMMS exam!
