Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 80.43 crore), HFCL(numbers of share traded: 13.48 crore), GMR Infra(numbers of share traded: 11.57 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 9.36 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 7.43 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.33 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 7.26 crore), BEL(numbers of share traded: 6.49 crore), Motherson Sumi(numbers of share traded: 5.56 crore) and JP Associates(numbers of share traded: 5.15 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 92.31 points up at 23557.9, while BSE Sensex ended up 308.37 points at 77301.14.

On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 2.22 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
