Pune Porsche accident case: Advocate suspects 'pressure' on police, doubts 'complete FIR manipulation'

The family of the accused in the Pune hit and run case reportedly once sought help from an underworld don in a property dispute.

According to a report by the Pune Mirror, the grandfather of the accused in the Pune accident had previously sought assistance from don Chhota Rajan in a property dispute.

The report states that the grandfather, Surendra Kumar Agarwal, once offered Chhota Rajan a deal to kill then-corporator Ajay Bhosale.


During an election campaign, bullets were fired at Bhosale's car, injuring his driver, according to the report.

The case was later transferred to the CBI, which revealed a property dispute between Surendra Kumar Agarwal and Ram Kumar Agarwal as the reason. The Pune Mirror report states that Surendra wanted Bhosale to intervene in the matter, but Bhosale refused. Surendra later approached Rajan to kill Bhosale.

Pune Rash Driving Case
In the early hours of Sunday, two individuals, including a young woman, lost their lives after a luxury car collided with their motorcycle near Kalyani Nagar in Pune.

The teen's father, a builder, and four individuals linked to two restaurants where he was served liquor before the fatal crash have been arrested by the police.

The police have booked the father and the bar under Sections 75 and 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act. The father of the 17-year-old boy was placed under arrest on Tuesday evening.

According to the FIR, the accident occurred as a group of friends were returning home on their motorcycles after a party at a restaurant in Kalyani Nagar. At the Kalyani Nagar junction, a speeding luxury car struck the bike carrying Awadhiya and Costa, causing them to fall and die instantly. The car subsequently crashed into roadside pavement railings.

On Monday, Pune Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar said that the Pune Police are seeking permission to try the juvenile accused in the rash driving case, which killed two people, as an adult under sections of the Juvenile Justice Act.

Earlier, on May 19, the Juvenile Justice Board granted bail to the accused involved in the recent car accident in Pune, said the juvenile accused's advocate, Prashant Patil. The bail comes with several conditions aimed at rehabilitation and awareness.

The conditions include the following: The accused must work with the traffic police of Yerawada for 15 days, write an essay on the accident, receive treatment from a concerned doctor to help quit drinking, and take psychiatric counseling and submit a report.

The police have charged the minor with rash and negligent driving and causing harm by endangering life or personal safety under IPC sections 304A, 279, 337, 338, and 427, along with relevant sections of the Maharashtra Motor Vehicle Act.
