While appearing on the Showtime podcast All The Smoke, Cuban Cuban discussed his experience on the entrepreneur series "Shark Tank" with hosts and former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson and announced his plans.
He said that this is the 15th year and next year it will be the 16th year, and is going to be his last year.

Successful business people, or "sharks," like Cuban, are featured on "Shark Tank," where they listen to pitches from entrepreneurs looking to grow their companies and find investors. "It conveys the message that the American dream is alive and well," according to Cuban, which is why he adores the show.

Cuban during the podcast said that he felt that by doing the Shark Tank for so many years, they have trained a generation of business persons—many generations of entrepreneurs—that if someone can travel from Iowa, Sacramento, or any other place and appear on the show's carpet, pitch their company, and land a deal, it will inspire a generation of children.

According to Cuban, he has made investments in hundreds of businesses that were pitched on the program, and "I'm way up on a mark to market, which means the companies are still in operation, but I'm down a little bit on a cash basis."

He went on to say that when choosing what to invest in, he frequently reads body language and searches for concepts that he wishes he had thought of first.

Cuban believes that "the American dream is alive and well" is the idea he will remember most from the show.

Notably, Cuban bought the nearly deserted 76.8-acre Mustang, Texas, community in 2021. As the show is presently airing its fifteenth season, Cuban has some time left before the final curtain closes.
