Carapaz becomes first Ecuadorian racer to don yellow jersey

Meanwhile, Richard Carapaz has become the first Ecuadorian ever to wear the yellow racer's jersey, after his grand performance previously. The 2019 Giro d’Italia winner's gritty show saw him snatch away the yellow jersey from Tadej Pogacar. According to The Guardian, he is currently in his best form, after he crashed out of the Tour on day one, in the last season.
