From candle marches to rallies, TDP workers have been demanding the release of Chandrababu Naidu by showcasing their outrage across the country.

"Today we sat on hunger strike in solidarity with Chandrababu Naidu. I will urge people of India to understand this issue. Mr Naidu is known for sincerity and honesty," Lokesh told reporters here.

Describing YSRCP supremo and Andhra Pradesh Jaganmohan Reddy as a "mad man", Lokesh said alleging that he is doing nothing but political witch-hunt.

"It's been 24 days that Mr Naidu has been sent to Jail. They have not been able to show any kind of evidence or proof so far. Clearly this is nothing but vendetta politics," the TDP leader alleged.

Earlier, a rally was organised in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district opposing the arrest of the Naidu. On September 24, TDP women caders held a candlelight march in Visakhapatnam.
