These PNB customers have been asked to update KYC details by December 18 to avoid restrictions on account operations

Synopsis

PNB customers are requested to provide their updated information like identity proof, address proof, recent photo, PAN, income proof, mobile number (if not available) or any other KYC information.

Punjab National Bank has asked its customers to update their Know Your Customer (KYC) information to ensure smooth functioning of their accounts in adherence to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines before December 18, 2023, according to a PNB press release.

PNB customers are requested to provide their updated information like identity proof, address proof, recent photo, PAN, income proof, mobile number (if not available) or any other KYC information to their base branch.

It can be done through PNB One, Internet Banking Services (IBS), registered email/post, or in-person visits to any branch.

Who should update KYC before December 18, 2023?
This is applicable only for those customers whose accounts were due for KYC updation as of September 30, 2023.

e-KYC through mobile

The customer who wishes to complete e-KYC can do so through the IBS/PNB ONE module, in which case they must submit a self-declaration with information regarding their current address, annual income, and annual turnover (as appropriate), as well as OTP-based Aadhaar authentication.

How to check PNB KYC status
Step 1: Login PNB online with credentials

Step 2: Under personal setting check KYC status
IT will display if you need to update your KYC.

When there is no change in customer information

In these situations, a customer can send a self-declaration to the Base Branch via the email address they have on file with the bank, the mail, a letter, or by physically visiting the base branch, stating that there has been no change to their KYC information.

When there is change in address
In such circumstances, the Customer shall deliver KYC papers in accordance with the most recent CDD requirements to the Base Branch by email associated with the Bank, postal mail, a letter, or in-person visit.

If a customer submits a self-declaration of the new address to the base branch, the same may be obtained from the customer through email-id registered with the Bank/ by post/ by letter/ by visiting base branch.
