Hasina sends Saha Haribhanga mangoes, hilsa and rasgullas
Agartala: As a goodwill gesture, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina on Thursday sent 50kg of hilsa fish, 50kg of rasgullas and 400kg of Haribhanga mangoes to Tripura CM Manik Saha.
This was in response to Saha sending 500kg of Tripura’s queen pineapples to Hasina on July 23.
The consignment was received by the authorities of the assistant high commission of Bangladesh at Akhaura integrated checkpost (ICP) here and will be formally handed over to the CM soon.
Mohd Rezaul Haque Chowdhury, first secretary of the assistant high commission of Bangladesh here, said the exchange of gifts aims to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two neighbouring countries.
