Agra: A 9-year-old student was sexually assaulted by the nephew of a training academy administrator in Agra. The survivor, son of a farmer, was preparing to qualify for the Sainik School entrance exam.
Police said that on Monday night, other students were awakened by the cries of a child. They noticed that the door of a room was locked from inside.
When they peeked through the window, they saw the nephew of the institute’s administrator sexually assaulting the student. When the children raised an alarm, the accused fled after threatening the victim.
Residents of the area said, “The defence training academy has been operating in the area for the last three years.” Malpura SHO Ishwar Singh Tomar said, “Based on a complaint by the father of the victim, an FIR was registered under Pocso Act and IPC section 377 (unnatural offences). The accused has been sent to jail following court orders.The academy has been shut.”
