AGRA: A 35-year-old man was shot while returning home on a bike with his colleague, captured by a CCTV camera on the Agra-Delhi highway in Mathura, and the video is circulating on social media.
The incident occurred 500m from Chhata police station on Tuesday night when the assailants came from behind, shot Prem Singh in the head, and fled. The footage shows Prem Singh, brother of the deceased Pratap Singh, a former chairman of Chhata Nagar Panchayat, being shot.
His colleague, realising Prem was dead, stopped the bike, and Prem fell onto the road.
Prem Singh’s nephew, Manish, filed a police complaint against Amit Singh alias Pintu, his father Har Prasad, friend Naveen from Palwal, and uncle Ramveer. All four were charged under IPC section 302 (murder). The family believes the murder resulted from an old enmity.
Prem Singh’s brother Rupchand, his wife, their three children, and Prem Singh’s two children were on a trip to Shimla were immediately informed about the incident.
