AJMER: The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education's Class 10 exams start from Thursday, with more than 10 lakh
students across the state slated to appear. The board has directed all examination centers to double-check the identity of students before allowing them into the examination hall. The board has also made an appeal to students and parents for not indulging in unfair means during the examination.
The Class 10 board exams will get over on March 30. Looking at the large number of students, the board has directed for videography at every examination centre. "The aim is to curb cheating and use of unfair means during the examination," said Kailash Chand Sharma, secretary of the board.
The board's Class 12 exams started from Feb 29, and a control room at board HQ and every district education office has been made functional. "We have asked students to inform the board or police about anyone luring them for marks or exam paper," said an official.
