Man held in MP for rape and blackmail

Ajmer: Police arrested a man from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday for raping and blackmailing a woman by obtaining her obscene photos and videos of her.
The woman also alleged that the accused posed as a Hindu to deceive her. According to the police, a woman approached Ajmer SP on June 11 to file a complaint.
She reported that she was originally from Nagaur district but now resides in Mumbai.Three years ago, she received a mistaken call on her mobile phone from the accused, who lured her into friendship.
The accused subsequently engaged in continuous conversations with her and invited her to meet him in Ajmer two years ago. The complainant arrived in Ajmer, where Wasim Khan (41), a resident of Ujjain, took her to a hotel near Dargah Bazaar, raped her, and took photos and videos of her. Thereafter, he began blackmailing her.
On April 22 and 23 of this year, the accused again threatened her and called her to Ajmer, where he took her to a hotel and raped her again. The woman stated that the accused was still blackmailing her and had threatened to leak her videos and photos on social media platforms.
Police investigated the matter, identified the accused, and arrested Wasim Khan from Ujjain.
