Prayagraj: The district administration and Tirtha Purohit community of city and those associated with Maha Kumbh have decided to organise special rituals and Rudrabhishek throughout the Shravan month to pray for successful completion of Maha Kumbh.
The month of Shravan will commence on Monday, July 22, the second Monday is on July 29, third on August 5, fourth on August 12 and the last Monday on August 19.
This time there will be five Mondays in Shravan, again considered auspicious.
The priests have planned that every Monday, Rudrabhishek will be organised in the premises of Jai Triveni, Jai Prayag Seva Samiti by Pradeep Pandey, the authorised priest of Prayagraj Mela Authority and the All India Tirth Purohit Mahasabha will also participate in it.
Apart from Monday, Triveni aarti, special aarti and rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva will also be performed every day. Devotees of the Sangam city too will be invited during Rudrabhishek, special aarti and rituals.
Priest Pradeep Pandey said that it is mentioned in the scriptures that Lord Shiva is easily pleased during the holy month of Shravan.
“As we wish that the entire world should praise the Maha Kumbh organised in Prayagraj and the devotees coming from the country and abroad should remember its importance throughout their lives, therefore, we are preparing to conduct Rudrabhishek and rituals throughout the month of Shravan”, he said.
