Amaravati: Housing, and information & public relations minister Kolusu Parthasarathy reaffirmed the new government’s commitment to developing housing layouts for below poverty line (BPL) families and completing the construction of 1.38 million houses. Parthasarathy accused the former government of betraying SCs, STs, and BCs in the construction of houses.
The minister revealed plans to initiate an inquiry into the irregularities in land acquisition for housing colonies. He assured that there would be no changes to the list of beneficiaries. Parthasarathy also emphasised the need to complete 110,000 houses under Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TIDCO) scheme.
