TTD EE Sri Lakshmi arrested by police in a murder case after a victim of assault died at a hospital

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams executive engineer Sri Lakshmi was arrested by the police after a victim who was assaulted by her family members died at a local hospital in Tirupati on Saturday.
Sri Lakshmi's husband Girish Chandra Reddy and his two other accomplices were also taken into custody by the police.
It may be recalled that Sri Lakshmi and her husband along with two other accused waylaid their neighbour Venkata Siva Reddy near the NGOs colony in Tirupati and assaulted him with a blunt object and injured him severely on May 25.
While the Alipiri police booked a case against the four accused and got Venkata Siva Reddy admitted to Sri Venkateswara institute of medical sciences in Tirupati for treatment, the victim died at the hospital earlier today.
