BENGALURU: The increase in milk prices is expected to impact hotel bills, but restaurants have for now ruled out any immediate price revision.
Chandrashekar Hebbar, president of Karnataka State Hotels’ Association, said: “Other than for coffee and tea, we use milk for preparing sweets and dishes. A cup of tea or coffee is sold in the city for Rs 10 to Rs 20, depending on location and category of a hotel.”
In Aug 2023, hotels in Bengaluru had hiked food prices by 10% citing increase in prices of grains, milk and other commodities.
