Pen-drive case: Karnataka HC reprieve for Preetham Gowda
BENGALURU: The HC on Friday passed an interim order restraining SIT from arresting former BJP MLA Preetham Gowda in the pen drive (which contained sex clips) distribution case.
However, Justice Krishna S Dixit has noted that it is not a case of stalling the investigation and the probe can go on at the discretion of SIT in a normal way.
"There shall be no arrest and detention of the petitioner unless he fails to cooperate with the probe.
This order shall not come in the way of any material, discovered by the police. The petitioner shall be at the doorstep of the investigation agency from 7am to 9pm," he said.
