On Friday, BJP held a state-wide protest against the Congress govt on the issue, staging demonstrations in front of the deputy commissioners' offices in nearly all districts.
This marked the third protest since the Rs 88 crore scam came to light. "All our legislators will lay siege to the CM's residence in Bengaluru. Never had such a huge scam happened in the state in the past. The money kept for the welfare of the ST community has been misused," said BJP state president BY Vijayendra.
"BJP has been staging agitation continuously against the scam. As a result of our agitation, Nagendra, who was a minister, had to resign. There are several things mentioned in (corporation official) Chandrashekar's suicide note, but the state govt seems to still have not taken this case seriously," he added.
Vijayendra also called for the resignations of medical education minister Sharan Prakash Patil and Valmiki Corporation's chairman Basanagouda Daddal.
