Bhopal: A miscreant along with his three accomplices allegedly attacked and stabbed his 28-year-old brother-in-law in the abdomen in Piplani locality on Sunday afternoon. The accused was angry with his brother-in-law for marrying his sister against his wish. Piplani police registered a case against the accused on charges of attempt to commit culpable homicide against the accused and started investigations.
The injured is undergoing treatment at a hospital and his condition was reported stable.
Investigation officer SI Bharat Singh Meena said that the complainant Yogesh Shamsheria, a resident of 100 Quarters in Piplani, runs a grocery store. He stated in his complaint that he had married a neighbouring woman around three months back after a love affair. His wife’s brother Ankit was against their marriage and since then he has a rivalry with him.
SI Meena said that Yogesh said that on Sunday around 2pm, when he was going to drop the electrician, the accused Ankit along with his three accomplices Anil, Mona and Arshu waylaid him and started hurling abuses over him. When he protested, the accused started assaulting him. Ankit took out a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen. He sustained severe injury and was rushed to a hospital where he was undergoing treatment. Acting on information, police reached the spot and registered a case. Further investigations were on.
