Building collapse in Dindori kills worker, 2 critically injured

Bhopal: A house under-construction collapsed in Dindori district killing one worker and injuring two others on Monday morning. The incident took place at Karbematta village under Gadasarai police station of the district.
Deceased worker has been identified as Mordhwaj, 30. Besides the deceased, Jageshwar and Shankar sustained severe injuries as they remained buried in the debris.Police had to cut through the iron bars manually to rescue them.
“The incident took place in the morning. The building was being built for use as a poultry farm. The two floors of the building had concrete roof and there was a shed on the third floor, the entire structure collapsed, leading to one death and two persons getting injured”, Gadasarai police station in-charge, Durga Prasad Nagpure told TOI.
He added, “They got trapped under a portion of debris from the roof. We had no option of using electronic cutter machines or other such equipment as it could have been fatal for those trapped. The concrete was broken manually and the iron used in it was also cut manually to rescue those who were trapped”.
A case of unnatural death has been registered, he said.
