Eight Out Of First 10 FIRs In MP Registered In Bhopal
Bhopal: The first three FIRs registered under the newly implemented Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in Madhya Pradesh were registered in Bhopal Police Commissionerate’s Hanumanganj, Nishatpura and Shahjehanabad police stations. Out of the first ten FIRs registered, eight were registered in Bhopal alone while one each was registered in Gwalior and Sagar districts.
The first FIR was registered under section 296 of BNS at Hanumanganj police station at 12.16am in which an accused allegedly hurled abuses on a 40-year-old man over an old rivalry.
Complainant Prafull Chouhan, 40, a resident of Hanumanganj, works in a private job. He stated in his complaint that on July 1, around 12.05am, he was going towards the bus stand. As he reached Samanantar Road cut point, accused Raja alias Harbhajan met him and started hurling abuses at him over an old rivalry. When he objected, Harbhajan hurled abuses at him and fled. Subsequently, Prafull approached Hanumanganj police and his FIR was registered within 11 minutes.

In the second case registered at Nishatpura police station at 12:20am on charges of assault and extortion, complainant Bhairav Sahu, 36, a resident of Saroj Nagar in Nariyalkheda, stated that he runs a restaurant at Housing Board Colony in Karond. He stated in his complaint that Manish Shilpkar, a resident of Lambakheda, is known to him. He has a previous crime record. Bhairav said that on July 1 around 12.05am, when he was waiting for his friend on Berasia Road in Nishatpura, the accused Manish approached him and started demanding Rs 500 from him for liquor. The accused had extorted money from him in the past too. When he refused to pay any money, the accused assaulted him. Subsequently, he reported the matter to Nishatpura police who registered a case under sections 296, 115(2), 119(1), of BNS.
The third FIR was registered at Shahjehanabad police station at 12.22am against two accused for allegedly creating ruckus at a public place. Police said that the accused Gautam More and Ganesh Sanwle were fighting with each other on the road near Bada Bagh and creating ruckus around 12.05am on July 1. Police reached the spot and registered a case under section 194 (2) of BNS.
