Monsoon at MP’s doorstep, but no relief for Bhopal at 40

Monsoon at MP’s doorstep, but no relief for Bhopal at 40
Bhopal: In the run-up to monsoon, Bhopal got no relief from the sweltering heat on Saturday. The day temperature remained around 40 degrees Celisus while in other parts of the state, the day temperature hovered at 45 degrees mark. With monsoon to take a few more days to reach the state, the respite from heat depends upon the pre-monsoon activity, which so far has not been strong, at least not in Bhopal.
It means that the denizens will have to reel under discomforting weather for a few more days, for now.
Northern limit of the monsoon continues to pass through Navsari, Jalgaon, Amravati, Chandrapur, Bijapur, Sukma, Malkangiri, Vizianagaram. Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Northwest Bay of Bengal, some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, remaining parts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and some parts of Bihar during next 4-5 days, the meteorological dept stated on Saturday afternoon.
