NEW DELHI: A Class 9 student was critically injured after being allegedly stabbed by a classmate at Raghunath High School in Odisha's Ganjam district on Friday morning. The incident occurred inside the classroom of the government-aided school. The victim, a 14-year-old boy, has been admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.

The police have detained the accused student.
"We are investigating the incident and the cause will be known after a thorough investigation," said Inspector-in-Charge (Patapur) Ajay Kumar Swain.
