Union home minister Amit Shah arrives for BJP state executive meet
PANCHKULA: Union home minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that the BJP is capable of going it alone in the upcoming Haryana assembly polls under the leadership of CM Nayab Singh Saini and forming a govt for the third time. With this, Shah made it clear that Nayab Singh Saini will be the CM face for the state elections.
While chairing the meeting of 5,000-plus strong executive members of Haryana BJP, Shah virtually sounded the poll bugle, asking those present to make the electorate aware about the achievements of PM Narendra Modi and the BJP govt in the state led by Manohar Lal Khattar and then Nayab Singh Saini.

In his hour-and-a-half-long address, Shah categorically praised the contribution of the state’s farmers, sportspersons, members of defence and paramilitary forces to the country.
Shah claimed that in the past 10 years the Centre has spent Rs 2.70 lakh crore on development projects in Haryana alone. “We shall form the govt after getting a clear majority in Haryana on our own. There will not be any pre- or post-poll alliance in Haryana. For this, each worker shall have to reach out to the voters,’’ he added.
Referring to the achievements of the NDA govt at the Centre, Shah mentioned the Ram Mandir, surgical strikes and curbing of terrorism.
In a bid to boost the workers’ morale, Shah said that BJP is the only party which credits its victory to the party workers.
Shah also took a dig at Congress leaders, especially senior party leader Rahul Gandhi and Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda, saying that “Congress leaders indulged only in cut, commission and corruption, which was weeded out by BJP govt in Haryana”.

Before Shah, Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is BJP’s in-charge for Haryana assembly election, too, ripped into Congress and AAP, terming the parties as opportunistic.
Prominent among those who spoke at the meeting were Union minister Manohar Lal, MP Biplab Deb, CM Nayab Singh Saini and other senior leaders.
