Installation of poles & lights begins in sectors 15 & 24

Chandigarh:The municipal corporation on Saturday started the work of installation of poles and lights in sectors 15 and 24 under ward number 12. The electrification project has a total cost of Rs 20 lakh. The works have been started following the demand of area residents and councillor.
The works started following the special campaign ‘Councillor at your doorstep’ where municipal councillor Sourabh Joshi played a major role to start the work of installation of poles and lights in sectors 15 and 24 in the ward no 12.At the inauguration event, MC officer SDO Rajdeep Surya, JE Sunny Thakur and residents of that areas were present.
Inaugurating the development works started in collaboration with the local people, , Joshi said, “Residents, especially women, will get rid of anti-social elements, high mast lights will be installed at the parks”.
Joshi further added that steel tubular poles would be installed in high mast lights and mini rose garden in Sector 24 C and D. Similarly, special lights have been arranged by installing concrete poles on the sectors dividing road in Sector 15.
