Punjab Govt launches COVID-19 Helpline on WhatsApp
The Government of Punjab has launched a dedicated State Covid Helpline - +91 7380173801 on WhatsApp. This service will be free-to-use and will act as a central source for accurate, trustworthy and up-to-date information about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
To use the free ‘Govt. of Punjab COVID-19 Helpline’ on WhatsApp, save the number +91 7380173801 in your phone contacts and then text the word ‘Hi’ in a WhatsApp message to get started.
This service will be available in Punjabi, English and Hindi.
The ‘Govt. of Punjab COVID-19 Helpline’ is an automated ‘chatbot’ service, which will allow citizens to get verified answers to questions about Coronavirus from the Government of Punjab within 24 hours. To begin with, the service will provide guidance on topics such as COVID-19 precautions and symptoms, essential services, emergency helplines and the latest COVID-19 updates with more options to be included in the future.

“People can now receive verified real-time information about COVID-19 from the Government of Punjab on WhatsApp. We thank WhatsApp for making this service available to the state and encourage everyone to do their part by staying indoors and relying on official sources of information.”
