Sonam Bajwa is Chandigarh Times Most Desirable Woman 2019
Sonam Bajwa

It is for the third time that you have topped the Times Most Desirable polls in Chandigarh. What does the title mean to you?
It is very flattering indeed! It’s a true reflection of people’s love, support, and admiration. As an artist it means a lot. I am grateful to the Times Of India and to every person who voted for me.
Over the years, do you think parameters that make you desirable have changed? What’s the most desirable parameter about you today as compared to previous years?
I don’t know if parameters have changed, because only the audiences can tell that.
I just feel very loved and accepted by people over the years. I would be the wrong person to say what’s most desirable in me. Let the audiences judge.
Similarly, in men what do you find most desirable in them today? Is it different from your previous parameters?
I feel sense of humour in a man is very attractive. Also, I dig humility in men and find it irresistible. My concept about men hasn’t changed and I still really admire men who are humble.

You are at the top of your professional game currently and are also turning producer for Punjabi films. what have you learnt from your professional life thus far?
What I have learnt is that there is no substitute for hard work. If you are passionate about your work, then the only thing you need to do is, work hard. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance and time with your family will get you far. Only, genuine hard work will perfect your craft.
Can doing the same job through the years compromise your creativity? At any point do you tend to think monotony has set in?
Though I am very passionate about my work, I would be lying if I said that sometimes I don’t feel bored and monotonous. And there are many reasons for that. But the good part is, I am blessed to go on so many sets and meet different people. If I feel stuck in one project, I can always go on another set and feel better. This way I can reason in my head that I feel better, perform better get better scripts. I also take a short break and do something that refreshes me. Currently that’s going for a dance class, gymnastic or a reading session, and of course watching films. All this brings me back.
Finally, when are we seeing your Bollywood debut?
I do have Bollywood plans. And I would love to do a Hindi film soon. But I can’t predict when… (smiles).
