Police took action by registering a fraud case under Section 406 and 120-B of the IPC following Deepak Saini's complaint of losing Rs 4 lakh in an immigration scam in Surajpur, Pinjore.

CHANDIGARH/PANCHKULA: A resident of Sector 47 was duped of Rs 4 lakh on the pretext of investing money in a stock market. In a complaint to the police, Kirti Anand alleged that Dhaval and others cheated her of Rs 4 lakh on the pretext of investing money in stock market between October 4, 2021 to October 28, 2021. Police have registered a case under Section 406 and 120-B of the IPC at Sector-31 police station.

In another incident, a Kalka man was duped of Rs 4 lakh in an immigration fraud on the pretext of getting a work permit of Canada. Police have registered a case of fraud, following a complaint from Deepak Saini, a resident of Surajpur, Pinjore.
