Tamil Nadu Travel Expo to focus on wedding destinations

CHENNAI: The upcoming Tamil Nadu Travel Expo (TTE) in Madurai this year will focus on the wedding destination market. The three-day B2B event organised by various hospitality and tourism associations is scheduled between September 20 and 22.
Vikram Cotah, chairman, of tourism task force CII and CEO, GRT Hotels & Resorts said, 250 buyers from India and abroad including Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka will participate in the event."We are expecting to generate business of about 1,000 crore for wedding destinations from the expo, which will be spread over the next two years. The expo will also focus on positioning Tami Nadu as a wedding destination in the country," he said.
