Cuttack: Millennium City is all set to get a new state-of-the-art auditorium near the Netaji Subhas arcade in Sept. It is being set up by the Odia language, literature and culture department.
“The auditorium can accommodate 350 people at a time. The whole area is air-conditioned and equipped with modern amenities,” said Nalinikant Sahoo, district culture officer.
Sahoo said the auditorium stretches over a 21,000 square feet area, surrounded by greenery.
“Several trees have been planted to provide a soothing environment for all visitors. The work is almost in the last leg, with landscaping and pathways constructed adjacent to the auditorium. The auditorium is likely to be named Sanskruti Bhawan, which will be inaugurated in Sept,” he said.
Sahoo added, “The auditorium has been built at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore.”
