2 from Delhi drown in Ganga
Haridwar: Two friends who came from Delhi to Rishikesh drowned while bathing in the Ganga river on Monday. Divers are searching for the two after they got swept away by the current at Neem Beach ghat. According to police, Lovepreet Singh (26) and Neha Rathore (23), residents of Delhi’s Sudarshan Park and Sant Nagar respectively, went to Tapovan after renting a bike.
Ritesh Saha, SHO Muni ki Reti police station, told TOI, “Neha was swept away by the strong current of the river and Lovepreet jumped in to save her but both drowned.” MS Nawaz
