Amateur footballers battle for prized trip to Germany

Panaji: The second edition of the Red Bull Four 2 Score 2024 is back in India with an expanded format.
The tournament embodies “power football” and challenges you to show your best. It’s a small-field event, 4v4 football – 10-minute rounds, no breaks and no goalie – plus, goals scored during the first and last-minute count as double.
The tournament will feature City Qualifiers in as many as 10 cities (Bhubaneswar, Pune, Guwahati, Indore, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Delhi, Kolkata, Goa and Kochi).
Participating teams will play in group and knockout stages during their City Qualifiers.
The 10 City Qualifiers winners will progress to the National Finals to be held in Kolkata on May 18, 2024. The winning team at the National Finals in Kolkata will represent India at the Red Bull Four 2 Score 2024 World Final in Leipzig, Germany later this year.
The maiden edition of the 4v4 tournament included a series of City Qualifiers across 16 cities, followed by four Regional Qualifiers and the National Finals in Kochi. Boom Boom Goa, an amateur team based in Goa, were crowned National Champions after they put it across Kalina Rangers 1-0.
Boom Boom Goa went on to represent India at the 2023 World Finals in Leipzig, Germany and capped off their Group Stage performance with a notable 5-1 win against hosts Germany.
