Menezes wore many hats, serving as the honorary consul for Germany in Goa as well as serving on the panels of various industrial bodies.

“It is with profound sadness that we learn of the passing of Dean Menezes, our vice president. Menezes was not only a dedicated leader but also a person of great integrity and vision who contributed effectively to the chamber working,” said chairman of the Dempo Group and GCCI president Shrinivas Dempo. He recalled Dean’s tireless efforts, wisdom, and commitment that left an “indelible mark” on not just GCCI but the business community in Goa.
“He will be remembered for his leadership, his warmth, and his unwavering commitment to fostering economic development in our region,” said Dempo. As the head of the CMM Group, Menezes steered the company’s diversified interests including medical devices, consumer plaster, logistics, distribution, retail and infrastructure business.
Menezes was the chairman of CII’s Goa Council for the year 2008-09 and as an elected member of the Western Regional Council from 2014 to 2016 and was a board member of the Goa Institute of Management (GIM).
