Labourer falls off electricity pole, dies

Panaji: A labourer working on top of an electricity pole at Canca fell crashing down with it and passed away later on Wednesday.
The contractor who had hired the labourer was tasked with replacing the old pole that was damaged and broken at the base. The worker scaled the 7.5m pole and was sitting atop it when the pole buckled and crashed onto a tarred road along with the labourer.
He reportedly seemed alright and made conversation after the fall, at around 1.30pm, but later succumbed at the GMC.tnn
