Anuj was on his way back to his residence in Ullasgaon.

The incident occurred when Anuj was drinking juice in his car, waiting for his uncle who had gone to buy fruits at Ullawas market around 8.45pm.
Just then, two bike-borne men disguised in t-shirts from a food delivery app and an online grocery store, crashed into Anuj's car from behind, prompting him to step out of the vehicle.
As soon as Anuj stepped out to assess the situation, the attackers fired multiple bullets at him.
Anuj attempted to flee for his life, but the attackers relentlessly pursued him for approximately 100 meters along the road, firing nearly a dozen shots.
Six bullets struck Anuj, with four piercing his body and two grazing his arm. The horrifying incident was captured by CCTV cameras installed in the market, showing Anuj, dressed in a black T-shirt, running through the crowded area. The footage reveals the attackers, clad in red and yellow tees, chasing him down until Anuj collides with a tin shed and collapses to the ground. The assailant in the yellow T-shirt fires first, followed by his accomplice moments later. The accused managed to flee the scene after the shooting.

Anuj, who sustained severe injuries, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Anuj succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Ranbir Singh, Anuj's father, filed a police complaint stating that his son was on his way home to Kadarpur village from HBR Chowk with his uncle when the attack occurred.
"At the market, Anuj was sitting in his car and drinking juice while my brother was buying fruits at a nearby stall. Two youths crashed their bike into Anuj's car from behind. When he came out, they started to fire at him. My son tried to flee, but the assailants caught up with him and pumped six bullets into him. He was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to injuries during treatment," Singh recounted in his complaint.
The police have registered an FIR against the unknown attackers under sections 302 (murder), 34 (common intent), and other relevant provisions of the IPC.
Police are currently analyzing CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators and are also investigating Anuj's criminal history. "We have come across three FIRs against Anuj as well. We are analysing them to find out if the attack on him was the result of some old enmity," a police officer said on Saturday.
The police revealed that the victim, a resident of Kadarpur village, was employed as a bouncer at a private liquor outlet and with a local club in the area.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Anuj had three cases registered against him at different police stations in Gurgaon. They suspect the crime may be related to a previous dispute or enmity. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear at this stage, and further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
