Ferry services in 2 divisions suspended
Guwahati: The Inland Water Transport (IWT) department has suspended ferry services in the Brahmaputra in two out of three prominent divisions until the flood situation improves, reports Dhrubajyoti Malakar.
While services between Guwahati and North Guwahati were suspended on Monday, the Majuli-Jorhat ferry was suspended on Sunday in view of the rising water level.
However, it is still operational between Dhubri and South Salmara.
