Sonowal meets Nadda, discusses Namrup nano urea plants
Dibrugarh: Union minister for ports, shipping & waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday met Union minister for health & family welfare and chemicals & fertiliser JP Nadda in New Delhi and discussed the proposed capacity expansion at the Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Limited (BDVCL) in Namrup.
Sonowal requested Nadda to expedite the proposed nano urea plants within the BVFCL compound which is likely to provide a shot in the arm to the fertiliser facility situated in Dibrugarh district.

After the meeting, Sonowal, said, “Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Union minister JP Nadda ji where we discussed many issues regarding development and economic progress, with special focus on the North East region. We also discussed about the status of capacity expansion at the Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corp Limited in Namrup. Nadda ji assured that the investment of Rs 500 crore will be done soon to effect the construction of two new Nano Urea Plant within the BVFCL compound. ”
