3 killed in ambulance-bike collision in Karnataka's Shimoga
SHIMOGA: Three bike riders were killed when an ambulance collided with a bike near Taralaghatta in Shikaripura taluk of Karnataka's Shimoga district.
The police in Shimoga reported that the accident occurred on Friday night.
According to the authorities, the ambulance was traveling from Shimoga to Haveri, while the bike was on its way from Shikaripura to Hosajoga.

The victims were identified as Prasanna (25), Karthik (27), and Ajay (25), all of whom were residents of Hosajoga.
The Shikaripura rural station police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are investigating the matter further.
In a separate incident earlier on Friday, a total of 13 people, including three children and two men, were killed when their vehicle collided with a lorry in Haveri district, Karnataka. The family, who hailed from Bhadravathi, was returning from a temple visit when the tragic accident took place.
The van they were traveling in crashed into a lorry parked on the side of the road at Guddenahalli Cross in Haveri district, as reported by officials.
The incident occurred on National Highway 48 in Bydagi.
