Scrap MBBS degress of Saif, 4 batchmates: Preethi's dad

HANAMKONDA: Kakatiya Medical College postgraduate anaesthesia student Dr Dharawath Preethi's father, Narender, demanded cancellation of MBBS degrees of key accused Dr Saif and his four batchmates, who purportedly pushed her daughter to suicide.
Along with his son Prudhvi, Narender met Warangal commissioner of police AV Ranganath on Saturday and demanded stringent punishment for Dr Saif.
Talking to reporters, Prudhvi said, "Police stated they would book Saif and his four batchmates, Vikram, Bhargav, Shravya and Anusha, who were named in the chargesheet, but FIR has been filed only against Saif." Narender also demanded punishment of KMC anaesthesia head of the department Dr K Nagarjuna Reddy. "Transferring the HoD to the government medical college in Bhupalpally is not enough. This is not justice for Preethi and others, who died by suicide due to Nagarjuna's harassment," Narender said, adding Nagarjuna should also be listed in the chargesheet.
Dr Preethi's father said a nominal punishment is not enough and Dr Saif's MBBS degree should be scrapped.
