Only 4 CM Rise Schools ply buses, wait for 7 gets longer
Indore: The wait for over 80 school buses for seven CM Rise Schools seems longer for students since only 11 buses have been started at four out of 11 of them in the district so far.
As per announcement by education department, the buses were scheduled to start from June 17 at all 11 CM Rise schools in Indore. But only 11 have started plying students from Model CM Rise School, Depalpur, Model CM Rise School Sanwer, CM Rise School, Kankariy Pal, and CM Rise School, Mhow.
As per official sources, buses for remaining CM Rise Schools are expected to start from July 10 onwards.
The bus operator, Pankaj Mishra, had earlier said that details of bus routes were not provided to him which led to the delay in starting the bus service.
“Due to incomplete data from schools, buses cannot be fully operational. As per govt guidelines, buses will be equipped with CCTVs, fire safety measures, speed governors, fitness certificates, insurance and female conductors in buses for female students,” said Mishra. He has also been assigned the tender of running the buses at CM Rise Schools in 28 districts of the state.
“The buses for the remaining seven CM Rise schools will start in the next few days. The vehicles which have started in four CM Rise Schools in the district are running smoothly, as per information from the school principals,” said CEO zila panchayat Siddharth Jain.
Even the school authorities are clueless about starting of bus facility for students. “We had only heard about the bus facility, however, we have not been given any further details on the facility so far,” said a CM Rise School principal on the condition of anonymity.

This will be the first time that school buses will be run for govt school students in the city. Over 100 buses were roped in for the seven CM Rise Schools in Indore urban and four in Indore rural areas. The education department had asked CM Rise Schools principals to submit the list of students with routes to prepare route maps. TNN
