Indore’s first FIR under BNS lodged at Vijay Nagar

Indore: Under the new Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, the first FIR was lodged at Vijay Nagar police station at 3:34 am on Monday.
A resident Bajrang Nagar, Harsh, complained Vijay Nagar police that a youth thrashed him brutally and attacked him with a brick near his ear with the help of his accomplices. Harsh stated in his complaint that he had gone to RK Club to have dinner with his relative.When he came out around midnight on Sunday, there was a car parked right behind his two-wheeler. He asked the youth at the wheel to give him space to bring his vehicle out. But the youth abused him verbally. The verbal spat escalated to an extent that the accused thrashed him brutally and attacked him with a brick near his ear with the help of his accomplices and when Mahendra Parmar tried to intervene, he was also attacked.
Vijay Nagar ACP Krishna Lalchandani said that a case under section 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 296 (obscene acts and words) and 351 (2) (punishment for criminal intimidation) was registered against unidentified persons and police were looking for them.
