Police reach elderly woman’s home to record statement
Indore: Chandan Nagar officials on Monday reached the house of an elderly woman to record her statements in a case relating to voluntarily causing hurt.
DCP Rishikesh Meena said that the elderly woman had approached them with a complaint but since the formalities were taking time, she was asked to go home and a constable was sent to her home to record her statement.
“There is a provision under the new Bhartaiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita that a physically disabled and elderly people can just send a message or mail and an official will be sent to their home to register an FIR,”he said . TNN
